Visual Navigator
The "Visual Navigator" is a touch-panel description system that shows visitors information about items that they want to find out more about, in one glance. By touching a particular item in the picture of the room shown on the screen, videos and photographs will pop up along with a description. The Visual Navigator is placed at important locations on the second and third floors.

Touch the group of works that you would like to see. Individual names will appear. Touch the work that you would like to see. Touch the "Back" button to go back to the first screen. You can see descriptions and videos about the works. Touch the "Close" button to go back to the second screen.

In order to preserve the tradition of carpentry tools, it is important that in addition to preserving the actual tools themselves, information about how to make and use them is also handed down. Our museum displays over 50 videos in which such intangible tool techniques are recorded. As well as the various displays on each floor, group visitors can watch selected videos in our Multipurpose Room on B1F, and individual visitors in the library on the same floor.
