The teahouse inside the museum grounds will be specially made open to the public on these dates.
Of the 3 rooms within the teahouse, the smaller three tatami-sized room ‘Itteki-an’ is a replica of the famous ‘Sa-an’ at Daitokuji Gyokurin-in Temple. The larger seven tatami-sized room has been replicated to reflect Omotesenké tea master Sottakusai’s tastes.
Both have been built by master sukiya carpenter Kaichiro Usui.
Please take this opportunity to enjoy his craft.
